Our Process

Engaging with a financial planner/adviser can involve widely varying experiences between businesses. Ultimately, what we're looking to do is understand you, your situation and identify areas we can add value to your financial plan. The below is the process we've put in place to help design the best plan for you.

Step 1

Initial Call

We'll have a brief 20 minute phone chat, to get a basic understanding of your situation and what's triggered you to seek financial advice. If we feel we can add significant value above and beyond our fees, we will arrange a Discovery Meeting.

Step 2

Complimentary Discovery Meeting

Before this meeting, we'll send you a link to collect some more specific financial information, so we can spend the meeting having meaningful conversation, rather than focusing just on data collection. At the end of this meeting, we'll provide guidance on the fee to prepare a Statement of Advice (SOA). After this meeting you'll make a decision whether or not to proceed.

Step 3

Strategy Development

Once you decide to engage us as your financial adviser, we will ask for ask for more specific detail regarding your current situation. We'll contact your existing product providers, to ensure we have everything we need and will start preparing your plan. Depending on complexity and our previous conversation, this may involve another meeting, or otherwise phone calls to ensure our initial strategy development aligned appropriately.

Step 4

Statement of Advice

After conducting our investigations with current providers, and have obtained all of your relevant information, we will prepare a statement of advice. Once complete, we'll arrange a meeting to run through our recommendations with you. This can be in person in our office, or via video call.

Step 5

Implementation

Should you confirm to proceed with the advice we've provided, we will begin the necessary steps to implement the plan. Depending on the complexity of your existing situation, and the actions we've recommended, this may range anywhere between 1 week to several months.

Step 6

Ongoing Review

Most advice typically involves an ongoing relationship. Why? Because life, just like investment markets and government policies, is not static. By utilising an ongoing relationship, we can adjust your portfolio as market environments dictate. We will also adjust your plan as your personal circumstances change, making additional recommendations
